Meghan Busbey

An enthusiastic leader with extensive experience as a K-12 teacher and school administrator, Meghan Busbey serves as Forward Arkansas’s senior director of programs. In this role, she helps the statewide nonprofit develop initiatives to empower great teachers and leaders to meet the unique needs of their students, schools, and communities. With her support, Forward launched the LeARner Collective, a first-of-its-kind professional development experience for Arkansas educators to design and implement innovative approaches to enhance student learning.

A second-generation educator, Meghan previously worked in the Little Rock School District and for eStem Public Charter Schools, where she advanced from a secondary science teacher to the assistant director of academic and student achievement. She is a proud graduate of the Schedler Honors College at the University of Central Arkansas with a master’s in teaching and a bachelor’s in biology.
