ForwARd Arkansas Welcomes Interim Executive Director
December 11, 2019
On behalf of the ForwARd Arkansas Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Cory Anderson as interim executive director, effective immediately, following the early retirement of Executive Director Susan Harriman.
Rev. Anderson is one of the founders and served as co-managing director of ForwARd Arkansas from 2015-17. He has extensive experience working in nonprofits, including grant writing, budget development, program development and implementation, and media and communications. Rev. Anderson will be serving in this role as an executive-on-loan from the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, where he is the chief innovation officer. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and is a sought-after leader in the field of philanthropy. Rev. Anderson is currently a BMe Public Voices Fellow and serves on the boards of Arkansas Baptist College, the Urban League of Arkansas, the Association of Black Foundation Executives and Neighborhood Funders Group.
ForwARd Arkansas is more committed than ever to building upon recent successes in our work to achieve equity, innovation and opportunity in education for all Arkansas students. We are excited that Rev. Anderson has agreed to serve as interim executive director as we continue implementing our transition plan to find a permanent executive staff leader for ForwARd Arkansas.
Please join me in welcoming Rev. Anderson, who can be reached at (501) 244-0000 and firstname.lastname@example.org.
