Jared Henderson

CEO of Assist Services, LLC

Jared is the CEO of Assist Services, LLC, a student transportation company serving children who are homeless, in the foster system, or have special needs. Over the last four years, he’s expanded the company’s operations to thousands of students in more than 125 school districts across 10 states.

He has spent much of his career in education and the public sector. In 2014, he helped manage the development of Forward’s initial strategic plan and later served as the co-chairman of its first implementation working group. He spent nearly a decade as a senior vice president and executive director with Teach For America. He worked for five years with McKinsey & Company’s Public Sector practice, where he advised a state superintendent of education and the mayors of two of America’s largest cities during the Great Recession. Before joining McKinsey, he was a research associate and operations manager at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.

Henderson is a proud graduate of Arkansas public schools. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas and an MBA and master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University, where he was a Dean’s Fellow.
